My Purpose

The animals in my life have always been a precious resource of truth and security. They have been tolerant of my weaknesses and powerful, in their own gentle ways, in letting me know what could be improved.

One of the most beautiful gifts that has come into my life as a result of allowing myself to receive divine guidance is my light paintings. They are expressions of pure love, and come through from Heaven to remind us of who we are.

My purpose is to be and do whatever I am guided to, in giving and serving others. Light paintings are a part of this, and those for whom a painting will be inspirational, validating or healing in any way, will find themselves here.

My Path

I have created various projects over the years, which have played a role in becoming open enough for the Light paintings to come through. In 2004 I co-founded Happy Horse Training with my sister. We were fascinated with the transformation that bio-mechanical balance and straightness brought to a rider, and as a result, a horse.

This brought me to wanting to know the horses’ minds more deeply, to understand more about their perspective. This has been a long and winding trail which continues now. My website Happy Horse Happy Human is a blog which details much of my journey with the horses.

During this time I felt inspired to bring like-minded horse guardians and contemporary horse training together and Soul Herd was born. Soul Herd is a platform of articles and podcasts to share the evolution of horsemanship in ethical and spiritual ways.

It’s my experience that horses who feel seen and heard have a particular energy about them. It is a light that shines within them and their full personalities come through. I found myself wanting to share this light with others through photographic artwork. This led to a little Etsy shop Horse Art Digital.

After rediscovering the joy of painting and all of the fun new tools that are available digitally now, I started to feel the divine purpose coming into my work.

The inspiration I feel in helping others began to flow into my artwork and the Light Paintings in their different forms began to arrive.

The horses remind me often that there is that nothing missing from my life. And the paintings are another joyous reminder of this.

However much life might feel like a struggle and I think I need something to be happy.. the truth is that everything I am is all right here, whole and complete.

I intend that my Light Paintings can offer joy and encourage uplifting thoughts for everyone who experiences them.

This is my first Light Painting, made for my beloved senior mare Xas who is now in her 25th year. She had difficulties at birth and went into a coma, so having her in our lives has always been a miracle.

More recently she had a sinus infection and this painting was intended for her healing. She did recover without interventions.

I wouldn’t say the painting healed her in itself, but it does express my profound love for her, as well as her love for me, and love heals every sickness on this earth.
